Enquiry data

When you submit a quote request through this site — via the contact form or WhatsApp — we collect your name, phone number, postcode, the service you're asking about, any description you provide, and any photos you upload. This data is used solely to provide you with a rubbish removal quote and to carry out the job if you go ahead. It is stored securely and is not sold or shared with third parties, other than the sub-processors needed to run this site (our hosting provider, database provider, and email delivery provider).

The lawful basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry, and — if you go ahead with a booking — performance of a contract.

Carrier directory listings

Our carrier directory at /carriers lists waste carriers, brokers and dealers sourced from the Environment Agency's public register — a register the Environment Agency publishes for the specific purpose of letting the public check whether a business is authorised to carry waste. The data we display (business name, registration number, tier, registered address/postcode, licence status and expiry) is already public information published by the Environment Agency.

The lawful basis for displaying this data is legitimate interest — helping the public verify licensed waste carriers — balanced against the limited, already-public nature of the information shown.

If you are a carrier listed in our directory and want your listing removed or corrected, contact us at the details on our contact page and we will action this promptly. Note that removal from our directory does not affect your entry on the official Environment Agency register itself.

RubbishSorted Partner app

This policy also covers the RubbishSorted Partner app for Android and iOS, which our partner carriers use to receive and manage job offers. It is not available to the public and does not change how any of the data above is handled for site visitors or customers.

Push notifications. If you enable notifications, we store a device push token (an identifier issued by Apple or Google, not by us) linked to your partner account, so we can alert you to new job offers. We use this token only to send you job-related notifications — never for advertising or analytics. A token is automatically removed once Apple or Google reports it as no longer valid (for example, after the app is uninstalled); there is currently no in-app way to remove a token yourself, so if you stop using the app on a device, uninstalling it is what triggers removal.

Camera. The app can use your device's camera to take completion photos when you finish a job. Photos you take are uploaded directly to the job record for that collection (the same private storage described for job photos elsewhere in our systems) — we do not access your camera or photo library for any other purpose, and the app does not retain a local copy after upload.

Sign-in. The app uses the same email-based sign-in as the web partner portal (either a one-time code or a link, both sent to your email) — we do not collect or store a password.
